Overall a good lego set

The New Republic X-Wing is similar to new the old variant. Making use of an impressive technic design to move the s-foils into attack position. The small addition of landing gear helps the build elevate the build metaphorically and literally. The nose of the X-Wing is almost perfect. The interior is appropriate and makes use of a printed piece for the controls. The only minor nitpick with the build is that when the mini-figure is placed in the cockpit they lie down instead of sitting up. The mini-figures while mostly uninteresting have their positives as there is a new astromech, Colonel Ward makes a second appearance in a flight suit. The most exciting mini-figure has to be Carson Teva (shout out to Paul Sun-Hyung Lee getting his first mini-figure). The build while slightly boring and repetitive at times makes sense as an X-Wing is mostly symmetrical, and overall contributes to a good design.

He Nearly Shot Out to the Universe...

Well...we had to put my Grandson's eyeballs back in because when he saw this Legos set he received for his birthday he practically shot out to the universe...he wanted this set badly because of the moving parts...the wings work as a Starfighter should....I HIGHLY recommend this for any Legos/Star Wars fan...of course we put it together on a recent snow day from school (quote from him) "BEST DAY EVER"!!!
