This is the third trash can I have purchased. It is the best trash can I have ever owned. One is 10 years old and the lid still lifts up easily with the foot pedal. Sturdy. Opens and closes smoothly. I haven't used it it where it fills completely, but might be slightly top-heavy. I don't see that as a potential problem, however. as I empty bags far they reach that stage, and secondly, the shiny, sleek appearance will make up for it.
