The Pure Worm Castings provide fertilization as well as also acting as a soil amendment, aerating the soil. The added Worm Egg Material is made up of tiny balls of organic soil laden with worm eggs which greatly increase microbial activity around the root zone. When worm eggs hatch in soil, the worms adapt and provide numerous benefits to the soil and plants around them, increasing aeration of the soil, nutrient cycling, water movement (hatching is not guaranteed).

The Castings are always slightly Moist and that's VERY important because the live organisms in the castings will die without moisture. A Live soil ecosystem has an electric current running through it which is vital to produce strong healthy plants. Chemicals often burn live organisms in the soil which removes the electric current. These living organisms efficiently transport nutrients to the roots. Using chemicals makes for an unpredictable environment in your garden unless you have Advanced tools and knowledge to measure every ongoing aspect of the soil environment.. There was no rocks or sticks in my two 40 pounds bags of worm casting It was easy to apply and I followed the instructions on the bag. I had bought a smaller bag in April and I liked the results it had my flowers that I bought these to add to my hibiscus and gardenias as well as to other plants I had just planted. I don't know if I had worm eggs or not, I wasn't looking for them when I was putting them around different areas in my yard. I was just happy to have the worm casting to put around my flowers and shrubs. I have always heard good things about using worm casting. After reading reviews I felt this was the best company to choose from and it is made in the U.S A.
