Excellent product, well worth the money!

After a LOT of shopping online for a dresser for my twins' nursery, I decided on this one due to the high reviews. First of all, this is NOT a solid wood dresser, it is press-board like so many of these sauder products are. However, the design of this dresser is fantastic. There are a number of added support systems for the drawer bottoms as well as for the back and bottom of the dresser frame itself that make this dresser one of the sturdiest pieces of furniture I've ever bought! It is heavy as all get out when it's assembled (well over 100 pounds). The drawer bottoms are a thin piece of press-board, but they are supported with 4 nailed in clips and one thick board down the center, much more than what is included in a typical "assemble yourself" piece of furniture. I'm very impressed with the finish and overall look of this piece and it should be adequate for our twins to share for several years. This is a nice, tall, substantial, smart looking piece. I will say that it takes a good while and a little muscle to assemble it, my husband is an engineer and it took him several hours from start to finish, but he said he was impressed with the quality of the materials.

Gorgeous dresser, confusing to put together

This dresser is gorgeous. The color is a little bit darker than the photo. The directions could be more specific. The components were not labeled so it was a little tricky figuring out which piece was which. Though if you take your time and really look at everything you'll get it. It took my brother and I about 2 hours to put it together. We took our time to really match everything up. I love this dresser I really do. I can't wait to buy the larger one. My favorite feature is the drawer catch. You can't have more than one drawer open at a time. This is to keep kids (and adults) from having the dresser topple over on top of them. Brilliant safety feature. Aside from figuring out which piece is which, this is super easy to put together. No major tools needed. You'll need a hammer or mallet and a screw driver. That's it. It'll be even easier if you have 2 people to put it together.
