It is very firm which I like since I have back pain and it is perfect for that, but anyone wanting something plusher might not appreciate it. My boyfriend and I love it, and I'm even buying another but bigger since I'm upgrading my bed. Came right in the box and unfurled easy. Puffed up right away. Didn't catch any weird smell or anything that might come from boxed mattresses.

This is a fantastic mattered. I replaced a traditional mattress with this in a guest bedroom and then slept on it for a week. Very comfortable and supportive.
