About this item

Product details

Extremely durable clear finish helps prevent return of black stains on composite decks as well as protect against water, fungi and UV radiation. Zinc nano-particles protect surface by blocking UV which cause color fade. Use hand brush, deck brush or paint roller to apply. Clean up with soap and water. Coverage 100 To 150 Sq. Ft. Per 1 Gal. When treating horizontal composite deck surfaces, only a single coat of material is required. For natural wood surfaces, apply two coats of sealer, waiting approximately 15-30 minutes between coats. 2 to 6 hours dry to the touch.

  • WATER-BASED, CLEAR COMPOSITE DECK SEALER This environmentally friendly, water based, clear wood and deck sealer protects composite wood from the harmful effects of the sun, while adding little to no change to the natural look of your composite deck.
  • FORTIFIED WITH ZINC NANO-PARTICLE TECHNOLOGY Its like sunscreen for your wood. Tiny zinc particles dispersed throughout the stain reflect damaging UV rays, preventing premature graying and color loss.
  • EXTREMELY DURABLE, HIGH QUALITY RESINS DEFY Composite Deck Sealer is made with the highest quality resins available that have better resistance to fading and darkening. The result is a quality sealer that typically lasts a season or two longer than competitive products.
  • ENHANCED MILDEW RESISTANCE The same zinc nano-particles that block damaging UV rays are also a natural deterrent to mold and mildew growth.
  • EASY TO MAINTAIN When its time to do a maintenance coat, theres no need to strip the surface. Make sure the surface is clean, then apply a single maintenance coat of DEFY Composite Waterproofing Sealer.

Pricey, but worthwhile

Expensive, but about the only product that can protect composite decks. It lasts about about a year. This will be a yearly exercise, but worth it.

Works for me

Used alot of different products over the last 30 years. Have kind of settled on this one because we prefer a clear finish. We live in Georgia under alot of trees. Deck accumulates alot of tree debris on one end and suffers from merciless sun on the other. Oil products grow too much mildew here. Still have to clean and redo after every 3 years or so....but offers decent protection. The story of deck owners!
