I just received it in the mail, so I don't completely know if it's truly Sterling silver, however, it is stamped 925 on the lobster claw which is another thing I love about this necklace. It can't day after first ordering and came beautifully packaged in a cute gift box. If anything is to change, I will come back and edit my review. But, as of current, I love it!!! it looks fake but it has the number 925 if you really want to test if it's real sterling silver . get piece of magnet if the chain sticks to the magnet it's fake it means the chain is made of iron. if the chain doesn't stick it means it's real. and I did the magnetic and it didn't stick. or if it gets black too soon send it back before your refund expires

Clasp NOT secure

The necklace itself is great! My concern is with the clasp and hook. There actually isn't a hook. Just and open o ring link that can easily be pulled open, causing a security issue. The lobster claw clasp is also attached by an open o ring link that isn't secure. I fear that if the necklace is tugged in a minimal manner, it can fall off. I have consulted a jeweler to have this affixed and corrected, but now I will have to pay more than what I paid for the necklace.
