This is an amazing value laptop when it’s on sale.

It works perfectly well for gaming and productivity. I love how it looks! Not too flashy/ doesn’t scream “gamer”. I’d feel comfortable taking this to college or work. Matte screen is perfect for reducing reflections and it’s noticeably bright. Every game I’ve tested works well. Microcenter has a 5070 laptop at a competitive price ($1199.99), however the 5050 is efficient enough and draws less power. You also have the option to double the ram or connect an external ssd. Keys can light up but I prefer them off. Cons: - Battery drains fast and it gets hot (like most gaming laptops) - No touchscreen - Only one M.2 ssd slot - Box was beat up when delivered, luckily the laptop wasn’t damaged 4/5 stars Great value when it’s on sale (purchased it for $849.99 with intel battlefield 6 bundle)

If you were looking for a powerhouse gaming computer this is not the one. If you are looking for a great all-around travel computer that will allow you to do some fun light gaming, then this is definitely one to look at. Keyboard is good, lighting is fun, performance is great considering the cost. If you can find this on sale it's even better. You will have to deal with standard HP bloatware but that is easily resolved
