Very nice, but the band...

I got this watch as a present from my newphew and I love it. Rugged look and very comfortable to wear. There is one thing that bothered me a bit, though, and that's the width. G-Shock watches are usually big and some of them look ridiculous on my 6"3/4 wrist, but this one really isn't. The problem is that the band is way too stiff where it attaches to the lugs, making the watch seem wider than it is. If you swap it out for an aftermarket canvas band, it looks perfect. It would've also been nice to have dual time, but I can live without it.

I received the updated model with U in the model %23 instead of the 1V (even though 1V was on the packaging, the U was on the back of the watch case itself). Even better! I love the LED backlight and longer battery life on this one. Anybody wanting the classic green backlight would be disappointed.
