One of the classic "basic" G-Shocks

Casio's G-Shock line has three remaining "basic" models - the DW5600 from the '80s, the DW6900 from the '90s, and the DW9052 which is also from the 90's. These "basic" models have time (day, month, date, hours, minutes, seconds), alarm (single multifunction), countdown timer, and stopwatch modes, as well as a button-operated backlight. They lack advanced features like world time, multiple alarms, mute, vibration alert, solar charging, atomic timekeeping, automatic backlight, etc. that can be found on more expensive models...but are rugged, water resistant to 200m and all the watch most people need. The DW9052 is different from the other basic G-Shocks by having a strap with hinges that allow it to conform to smaller wrists, as well as shrouded buttons that are larger and easier to use. The DW9052-1V has red, white, and gold lettering and blue on the graphic display. It is not quite as small and thin as the "square " DW5600, but is smaller and thinner than the DW6900 and will fit most wrists while still being large enough to look "tactical." The resin has a soft, premium feel that belies the price, and the 59g weight helps it wear comfortably. Overall, an excellent and tough watch for the price.

This is an awesome watch,for everyday work use . The only reason I bought this one is because the previous one I had which was identical to this one I lost it. I had wore the one I lost for over five yrs never has a issue. I encourage anyone needing a watch to consider this brand of watch I don't think you'll have an issue unless you lose it like me. Buy one at Walmart best prices ever......

Best I've owned !

After my service issued watch got busted in my first taste of combat, I bought one of these as a replacement. That was several decades and 5 wars back. After retirement it kept working just fine until I decided to retire it. If my second one last as good as I expect, I'll have to leave it to my nephew in my will. These watches take real beating without a moments trouble. My last one has been as high as 60.000 feet, and as deep as 270 feet. It was beaten on unmercifully and even took several close calls with I.E.Ds. If you want a watch that can take it better than you can, then buy one of these! The only problem, if you could call it a problem, is when you need to replace the battery it's best if you can find a Walmart or jeweler to do it for you. That can be a real beast if you don't have the right tools or know how.
