Key item features
- Carbon Steel: This 9.5-inch round frying pan is crafted from 100% natural carbon steel, offering excellent heat conduction for rapid temperature increases.
- Versatile Compatibility: Suitable for all cooking surfaces including gas, electric, induction, halogen stovetops, and oven safe up to 680°F.
- Pre-seasoning Wax: Features a beeswax coating to prevent rust and aid initial seasoning, which should be removed with hot water before first use.
- Optimal Cooking: Ideal for searing, browning, and grilling due to its rapid heat conductivity, though less suitable for simmering.
- Durability & Care: Commercial-grade durability with 2-2.5mm thickness and 18/10 stainless steel rivets; requires hand washing and oiling after use to maintain its natural non-stick properties.
- Seasoning Process: Before first use, season the pan by heating flavorless oil for 5 minutes, then repeating the process to build a natural non-stick surface.
- Heat Management: Due to superb conductivity, use cooktop controls at approximately 60% capacity and avoid prolonged high heat or leaving the pan empty on a burner.
