After having the 16's for 2 years they could be very boomy almost wanting to go Sealed , I upgraded to the pb17s cause im more of a movie guy and ported is better for movies in my opinion but after having them they act more like sealed speakers , Very controlled , the engineers gave the subs Manors , they made them better , I think the dual amp split voice coil really helped , its what it needed definitely a step up. I dont know where we go from here in the future. still adjusting

Pb-17
Originally purchased the pb4000 which i wasnt quite happy with. after speaking to your staff for some time, we figured out that it wasnt big enough for my room. since your staff was so helpful and your product seemed very good, i felt it was right to give your company another shot with the bigger pb17. It is defiantly a great product, but i still need alittle more. i will be purchasing another sub in the future, probally the sb3000 for additional base. i have my old bose 501 sub working with the pb17 and it made a huge difference, so i figured the 3000 would be a step up from that. Thanks again for being a great standup company!

Everything PB-16 but better
Being a "latest and greatest" type of person sometimes, I absolutely had to upgrade my recently purchased PB-16 to this monster._x000D_ _x000D_ First, I have to say that the customer service experience I have had with SVS had been beyond exemplary. They're the Ritz Carlton of the speaker industry when it comes to taking care of the customer. If things aren't entirely 100%, they're going to do whatever it takes to fix it. Believe the hype because it's true._x000D_ _x000D_ Now for the sub. Everything I enjoyed about the PB-16 has been elevated - depth, tightness, drive. The only way to describe it is getting more of what you love from a box the same dimensions as the PB-16. As well, the fit, finish and overall aesthetic of the unit are top notch._x000D_ _x000D_ I cannot recommend this subwoofer enough. Just buy it._x000D_ _x000D_ Finally, I must share that just this year I have gone from not really having thought about SVS to redoing almost my entire system with their products - PB-16/PB-17 subwoofer, Ultra Evolution Bookshelf speakers for front height, Ultra Elevation speakers for rear surround, and next week the Ultra Evolution Center to round things out. I'll be keeping my mains from my old two channel days, but the rest is SVS. Cheers to you guys!
