It's actually gentle so you can put topical medications over it without over drying it. It has no fragrance, no beeds, and it does't foam up. It's very simple to use. If you get it in your eye by accident, it won't sting. It's funny because I'm one of those people who has to feel something, like a tingle or even a slight burn for me to feel like it's working (even a foam) and this has none of those but I've used it so many times that it's crystal clear that it's the cleanser that's clearing up my skin without any discomfort.

I have been using this brand for years. I was hoping that it would work on my peri-hormonal acne. While it does work great for regular acne, Peri is too strong. I still gave it 5 stars as it has and will clear up dang near every other kind of acne. While I type this I have two annoying pimples that need to be excorcised. No creams, cleansers, pimple patches or serum will destroy them. So barring that kind, this works. The cleanser has no real scent, it's creamy and will lather. I have sensitive skin but it does not irritate my skin.
