These are great for preparing pickling cucumbers. I have to chuckle when the review questions asked me about the 'seal' of this product. It's a loose fitting lid, there is no seal. This allows for the gasses to escape while marinating. These are large and made of very thick glass. Great quality.

The glass is thick and heavy. The lid seats well and sturdy. This container does NOT have a seal needed for food preservation. I plan to use it as a terrarium with succulents.
