Key item features

  • Everyday Women's Heated Jacket: The Backcountry is a light heated jacket for women that layers over a sweater or under a parka, giving you switch-on warmth for errands, commutes and evenings out.
  • Size & Color: This listing is for size XS in Black. Select other sizes and colors from the options on this page.
  • Heat Where Cold Hits First: One heating zone runs across the back and two sit at the chest, warming your core so the rest of you feels warmer too. Cycle through 4 heat levels as conditions change.
  • Rated Hours per Heat Level: From the 7.4V 2250 mAh Powersheer battery that ships with it, plan on 9+ hours using Low, 4+ using MedLow, 3+ using MedHigh and 2+ using High on one charge.
  • USB-C Charging in 4-5 Hours: The battery charges through USB-C with the cable in the box. Plugged into a 5V 2.1A USB-A wall adapter, a full charge takes 4 to 5 hours, so overnight is plenty.
  • Touch Button or Watch Control: A waterproof touch control button is built into the jacket. Prefer to keep your hands in your pockets? Use Bluetooth and the MW Connect app on Apple or Android, or your smartwatch.
  • Static-Free Zapsheer Lining: Zapsheer anti-static technology in the 100% polyester liner reduces static build-up and cling, so the jacket slides on smoothly over knits and fleece.
  • Light Shell, Synthetic Down Core: A lightweight 100% nylon outer covers a 100% PrimaLoft synthetic down, polyester-filled core that gives soft, lofty insulation without the weight of a heavy coat.
  • Upgrade to a 4000mAh Battery: Need longer heat? Besides the included MWCB74V02322, this jacket accepts the higher-capacity 7.4V 4000mAh Powersheer XL (MWCB74V04021), which you buy separately.
  • Washable, With a 1-Year Warranty: Pull the battery, then machine wash on cold and gentle and tumble dry on low. Fieldsheer, a technical apparel brand since 1978, backs it with U.S.-based help.

About this item

Product details

The Mobile Warming Backcountry is a lightweight heated jacket for women, made for everyday cold: the walk to work, the school run, a weekend at the market. In black with a nylon shell and PrimaLoft synthetic down core, it looks like a regular light jacket but adds 3 heat zones at the touch of a button.

Two heating zones warm the chest and one warms the back. Choose from 4 levels with the waterproof touch button, or from the MW Connect app on your phone or smartwatch over Bluetooth. The included battery gives up to 9+ hours on Low for long days, and 2+ hours on High when you need warmth fast. A Zapsheer anti-static liner keeps it comfortable over sweaters without the static cling.

In the box: the jacket, a 7.4V 2250 mAh Powersheer lithium-ion battery (model MWCB74V02322) and a USB-C charging cable. Charging takes 4 to 5 hours with a 5V 2.1A USB-A wall adapter. For more runtime, a 4000mAh Powersheer XL battery is sold separately. Remove the battery before machine washing cold on gentle; tumble dry low. Sizes XS to 2XL.

This listing is for size XS in Black; select other sizes and colors from the options on this page. Designed by Fieldsheer, a technical apparel company since 1978, with a 1-year warranty and U.S.-based customer support.

Back country warm!

The color and quality are fantastic, the battery compartment holds the normal battery but it's s little too small for the larger one. It's a lovely jacket for horse riding

Good looks and excellent warmth!

Great color selection, fit, function and warmth and simply outstanding. My wife loves the thumb grabber built into the mouth of the sleeve end that really help control the sleeves. This feature really works good if you use the jacket as a base layer. This is her now her third jacket and third vest from this company.
