This bed was easy to put together. My children and I (12 and under) put the bed together ourselves. It is sturdy. I only wish that it didn't make so much noise however we may just need to tighten some of the screws a little more. I did use my drill when putting the bed together and that made things go a lot quicker. Overall, I would recommend this bed to a friend!
