this was super easy to put together, took maybe 15 minutes, tighten it well and it's very sturdy, does not budge. comfortable and much easier than sitting on the steps. it matches my house and I really like it. the seat cover has a zipper on it, I will have to research if it can be machine washed but it is the kind of waterproof material that really you can just wipe clean.
