Beautiful XL Electric Griddle 12" x 22," Non-stick, Rose by Drew Barrymore

I was very surprised when I opened the box. It was larger than I thought it was and beautiful! The surface was textured perfectly so everything comes off instantly. The temperature is distributed pretty well…better than most but the outside corners about 1 1/2” in, are a little bit less hot but still works very well. I think that it is to ensure no melting to the exterior though, which would make sense. Also, it’s only 1/2” from the overflow drain line around the griddle so it doesn’t affect the hot surface area at all. I can cook 9 pancakes (325°) at a time and 4 grilled cheese sandwiches (325°) on that large sourdough bread, an entire pack of bacon, several sunny side up eggs (at 275°), easy over at 300° and at least two 3-egg omelets at 325°. The dial is hard to see for old people like me but it is easily adjusted to the temperature that you want with the dial. It suggests turning it to off and then unplugging, leaving the dial in until cool because it will be hot if you try to pull it out by touching the hot griddle. There is a normal degree of safety with use but, follow the directions for no issues. It comes with a grill guard you can put on the back for easy flipping but for some things, you may not need it … but it does look pretty cool in front of company. It’s great for burgers, sausages (slice the curved links in half to get a better sear since they don’t roll well), hot dogs, sausages, naan bread, Pajeon (Korean onion pancakes), etc. Breakfast is easy for us on this griddle. We’ve figure out that we can use a dumpling steamer basket to steam foods on it like veggies etc as the wood will not scratch the surface. The only issue we have is figuring out where we’re going to keep it when not using it. Don’t toss the box, it doesn’t come with a cover. I did but, we toss a towel over it when we put it away (once cooled). It is big so we put it on top of our fridge. I’m looking for a cover so when I figure out what I can use, I’ll come back and share. I’d promote this 100% and we love ours. Maybe they will offer up a cover for storage at some point.
