Walker Edison Sonoma 6-Drawer Solid Wood Caramel Dresser

So, I saw a lot of reviews that this takes about 6 hours to put together. I don't know what those people are doing to make it take that long. I put two of them together in less than 6 hours so it definitely should not take you that long. They're sturdy and the Carmel color is really pretty. After putting them together I got this genius idea that the dressers would be WAY better if they had push to open drawer slides. I stand by this genius idea - it was an amazing idea. One of my best ones yet. I do not, however, stand by my lack of awareness for what it would take to accomplish this modification. The hours of work, the murderous rage over the trial and error process of figuring out how to make this idea work, the amount of money spent buying drawer slides, additional wood, the planer we eventually decided was necessary, and the endless arguments that have ensued because of this idea have made the idea (in retrospect) seem like maybe not such a good one. I absolutely could have custom built or purchased exactly what I wanted for way less than what I'm currently in for on this mod. We did eventually make it happen, and yes, it's as luxurious as it sounds, but we had serious thoughts about throwing these dressers in the trash and buying new dressers that were already outfitted with the drawer style I was looking for.
