I used this backpack for a one-day trip to New York City, and it did really well. I was surprised by how much I could fit inside. I packed a rain jacket, wedge shoes, six bottles of drinks, and my personal essentials. I am leaving with bags of souvenirs while still using the backpack. The side pocket was also very useful. The first water bottle we tried was too large, but a standard-size Coke Zero bottle fit comfortably and stayed securely in the pocket while I walked onto the plane—it never fell out. The backpack held up really well throughout the day and gave me plenty of room without feeling like I was carrying a huge bag. For a one-day trip, sightseeing, or travel, this backpack has more capacity than I expected. I'm really happy with it and would definitely recommend it for travel.
