Let's start with 4 stars for the fan, and 5 stars for the design. The Design:. 1- integrated rain shield that can be left open while driving. 2- installation base plate. Base plate is installed from the outside and sealed. Then fan assembly is lowered down over it and secured to the base. 3- easy to clean screen. How is it nobody thought about this until now? 4- thermostat controls fan turn on and speed. This is a very well designed unit for sure! The Fan:. 1- Fan is quiet. Max speed is quieter than the original bathroom vent for sure. Mid range soeeds are whisper levels, low speeds are virtually silent. 2- power usage. Max speed is a little more current than the stock fan, but many times greater air flow! Throughout the range the consumption is very good, excellent for boondocking. So, why four stars for the fan? While it moves a lot of air, it also has reduced flow from the screen. It seems to be significant. For our hybrid trailer I would have liked more airflow, may have to get a second one! I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone, it is a great unit and Walmart did a great job of getting it to me exactly on time, at a time where many vendors are saying they have items when they actually don't. This fan was backordered everywhere else, but somehow Walmart had one. Note: Walmart doesn't do a good job describing the product, some important features were left out. I would recommend researching the party number with the manufacturer so you get what you wanted.
