The assembly is the easiest I've ever had to assemble. 3 steps and done with clear photos to guide. It took longer to unwrap the pieces. The chair itself is beautiful. My husband stated it looked like a beauty salon chair. So, yay! That was the point. My daughter was shocked at how comfortable it is. It does not come all the way up to the shoulders. It comes to mid to upper back. But she said it didn't hurt her back like her gaming chair did. I set in it and fell in love. This was bought for her vanity. She does make up videos and is in the chair for hours at a time. Not just for regular day to day. So comfort was a huge part for finding the perfect chair. The hydraulics worked perfectly. Tap the bar without sitting and it goes up. Tap it while sitting and it goes down. Very easy to use. We are not tiny. We are bigger. And we fit perfectly with no squishing! So a win for us big guys and girls. The seat is not hard. It supports, but it's soft. Sitting on it is nice. We have carpet. This chair slides over it without issues! Very easy to move! Best chair!
