You do not feel the wires. You can wash it. It gets super warm and toasty, and stays hot for 4 hours!!! I now prefer this over a heating pad, because heating pads are too stiff. I can wrap this throw around any body part and warm the whole area. It is warmer if you lie on it, or put it under another blanket. I use it for back pain.

Comfy electric lap blanket

I've been using this lap blanket daily since arriving a few weeks ago. It's so nice to have the extra long blanket as it allows my plus size 60 something body to be comfortably and completely covered in warmth. It's long enough to tuck under my feet in the recliner and I'm 5'6”. One of my best finds this year. I purchased an additional one for a secret Santa gift. I even raved about it to a complete stranger yesterday lololol. I'll be nice and cozy during the soon to arrive arctic blast heading g my way. Unsure how long it will last, but for $35 on sale I'll take however long this blanket gives. I do unplug it from the blanket when not in use. Just old fashioned I guess, but better safe than sorry!
