Sunbeam Electric Heated Throw Blanket Sage Triangle Microplush 4 Heat Settings, 50x70

As a twin mom, I am always cold because someone is constantly stealing my blanket 😂 and this Sunbeam heated throw has been a lifesaver! It heats up quickly and the 4 heat settings are perfect — I can keep it on a lower setting during movie night with the kids or turn it up when I finally get a quiet moment to myself. The size is great for cuddling up with one (or both!) of my twins, and the material is super soft and cozy. I also love that it doesn't feel bulky or stiff like some heated blankets do. It warms evenly and stays comfortable. Between busy mornings, homework time, and late-night laundry, this has become my little comfort item at the end of the day. Highly recommend for any busy mom who just wants to be warm for once! 💛

I'm going to preface my comments by saying that I'm not really using it as the manufacturer intended, so my review is colored by that. I like this blanket. The material is soft and warm, the coils get nice and warm, even on the lowest setting, and the button is easy to find and access. The two downsides are: 1. The control button is on one side of the blanket, not on the extension so it sticks out (and, for that matter, sits right on top of you) . This makes the blanket a little less comfortable because you always have the control block right there. I'm also using it as a heat source to warm my bed prior to going to sleep. I don't really need it overnight, just to get the bed toasty at the start. The side controller makes this a little less convenient because I have to unplug the cord to make it easy to get in and out of bed when the blanket is placed there. I could potentially solve this problem by putting the controller toward the middle of the bed, but this brings up problem number 2: 2. The control button is easy to push--perhaps a bit too much so. When the blanket is on the bed and the cat steps on it or lies on it, that is enough to change the setting by a notch. I have woken up more than once with the control set to 3 or 4--way too hot to sleep with. All criticism aside, if you use it for its intended purpose--as a throw, not an overnight blanket, I think you'll be satisfied by it. Just be sure to keep an eye on the temperature control. It is definitely easy to turn up.
