Capezio Jr. Footlight Character Shoe

I was amazed at the comfort of these shoes! Normally I struggle to get dance shoes large enough to fit me (UK 9-9.5) and they are usually tight, so I wsa pleasantly surprised when I found these to be flexible with movement, comfortable yet supportive too. It was like going on stage in my slippers! This was the only shoe I could find with the heel height I wanted and my size too. The only downside was that the leather's surface scraped very easily when I came downstairs, damaging very easily. I thought they would have been a little more hardwearing.

I'm no dancer, but these shoes fit like a glove! I'm so happy to rediscover Capezio after all these years, on line! 35 years ago I bought my first Capezio character shoes, in white, for a wedding, at a Capezio shop in downtown Boston. I dyed them black post wedding and wore then to little nubs. Love the ballet slippers too, for wearing as just slippers!
