This jacket runs a bit smaller than your typical size. I purchased a large size, I weigh 183 lbs, 5-9 height, so consider this jacket either a slim size or an athletic fit. I do like the fact it fits great, typically if I purchased the same exact design from the brand Columbia there large would fit like an XL, I dislike clothes that fits too loose. I highly recommend this jacket and it's brand.

I am an outdoors person and this serves the purpose for local day hikes and trail /tent camping. Competes with Eddie Bauer and North Face medium grade. Can be layered but is not for heavy duty stuff like ice and long term exposure in cold unless layered. However, it is great looking and looks more expensive than its cost. Trail guides in average weather will love this. Also it is packable!
