AM/FM Digital Radio W/ Weather Band

Thuis radio is fairly basic am/fm with weather band. Sound through the mono speaker is about as good as one should expect considering size and price. With headphones or external speakers, the FM sound is stereo(if broadcast in stereo) and is as good as the headphones or external speakers allow it to be. The strong point of this radio is it's great reception. I pick up stations clearly-that some of my more expensive radios won't pick up without an outdoor antenna. For more distant or weaker stations some adjusting of the antenna is needed--but it's minor-and once positioned the signal remains strong and steady. The built in speaker is adequate and sufficiently loud for normal listening. With rechargeable batterys-this unit will recharge them when plugged in-and though I have no figure--I've yet to drain the batteries while listening using them as the power source and I've used the radio for several hours at a time before plugging in and recharging them. The rechargable batterys do not come with the unit--they must be purchased--I was able to get mine for about $6. I have no complaints with this radio and consider itan excellent purchase. Just for fun I brought this radio to work one day-a site of notorious radio reception--more than one radio has been brought in there and failed--this radio was stil able to pick up the majority of fm stations quite well--though am reception was not so good--considering how poorly other radios have done--this was pretty impressive
