Very soft and warm. Has enough weight to be comforting not restricting. The size is perfect! It is actually a queen size. It is large enough to hang down the sides so as to cover you completely with out tugging. And hangs down the foot far enough to tuck in so it stays in place. It is the perfect winter blanket. It's so soft it makes me not want to get out of bed! When I get anxious with anxiety I go lay down and cover up with this blanket on my bed. I use it as a flat sheet! I got mine on sale for $8 plus tax. The other colors were full price which were over $30 and higher depending upon size. The one I got was Queen size but wish I had gotten a king for my king adjustable bed. It gets even softer after washing it before using! It's Perfect for cold nights. It think in summer time it could be used alone on your bed with air conditioning on otherwise you might get too hot. Depends on your preference. I would definitely buy again but in a king size next time. The color was really pretty in person. Way lighter brown than the picture looked like.
