Perhaps I'm cynical but I always am wary of manufacturer pictures because you never know whether they have a very petite model to make items look larger. Fear not. This bag is very roomy and I have some odd pictures to help illustrate that. There is a picture with a 5 gallon bucket which fits easily on one end, but it can't be zipped past the top though it doesn't miss it by much. Also I have a picture with a 1 gallon milk jug in there to help. Illustrate the roominess, as that is a uniform size that everyone would be familiar with. You can also see it packed with clothes, consisting of 10 standard men's/unisex XL T-shirts and five pairs of jeans women's size 16 boot cut and skinny jeans, normal denim. The bag appears to be very well-made. The handles are long enough to put your arm through, and are sewn to be smooth and cord-like where you would grasp it to carry in your hand. There is a strap which can be placed onto it to carry the bag over your shoulder, hanging at the hip, and this does have a neoprene pad where it would rest on your shoulder to keep it from digging in. I have not put the strap on yet. The ends snap down to make it rounded and slightly more compact, but they can be unsnapped if you need some extra space. The lining has significant extra material so that it will not be torn if you really stuff the bag. It has very large interior pockets. My husband and I could use this bag to carry clothes for both of us for a weekend trip. I am very pleased with the bag

I chose the green because no one else had yet. I like it. It's like a shiny military green which I really like. I didn't realize how much bigger this bag is when you unsnap the sides! I can fit my fattest pillow in it and it's still got room fully puffed out! It's just two snaps to get back to a regular large sized tote duffel. There are several pockets inside and an additional shoulder strap. So far there is no smell whatsoever! I love it! There's an outer side pocket and a second one against the first. One of the side pockets has a bottom zipper which perplexes me but could come in handy I guess? Anyway it's a good deal.
