Must buy! Love it! Can't believe I went so long without one, rarely use it, but when I do, it makes everything so much easier and saves my hands! Everyone should own this! Set it on the can push the button and it opens it and leaves the can with no rough cutting edges.

Works differently than a conventional can opener

I was very surprised when I saw how this removed the lid by cutting along the side of the can wall instead of puncturing the top of the lid. Put the positive end of the battery in the top of the compartment before adding the bottom battery with the spring at the bottom of the two batteries. Everything works very smoothly. I let it go around a couple of times because it never punctured the top of the lid, but when I picked the can opener up, the lid was on the bottom stuck to the magnet.
