So far, this has been fantastic. Very easy to use. This is my first time using clippers, and I was worried about hurting my pets. Even though I accidentally shaved too close to the skin once, it didn't cut my pet's skin. It's not terribly loud, though quieter would of course be better, so my pets don't run away when I turn it on. My only complaint is that it's hard to clean because there's a gap between the plastic handle and the blades, so fur gets lodged down between. I haven't been able to get the fur out that's stuck there. The brush works for the blades, but not that gap

I was hoping it would be even quieter but this clipper is great for shaving our cat's fur!! It's quieter than other clippers I had from Wahl and the cats don't seem to mind it! It also looks like there's a little guard on it so the blade is less likely to clip the skin. I highly recommend for anyone trying to shave their own pets fur!

It worked great on my cat, who has longer hair. He is diabetic %26 has insulin injections twice daily. I shaved an area at the scruff of the neck to make it easy to give the injections. He doesn't mind the shaver at all %26 it is much quieter than the one we had been using.
