Have always bought Sony TVs. This Samsung wasn't purchased due to price and because Walmart didn't carry Sony. In today's world, TVs are a throw away item when it comes to repair. This new tv has been performed well beyond my expectations. I would recommend it highly, but would advise buying the warranty with it.

Great value from a brand I trust

Upgraded the family room TV to this Samsung U8000FB 65" screen. There are other, more expensive Samsung models out there, but I think you're definitely hitting the law of diminishing returns with them. This one does everything with the quality I need. I will say that I shied away from the U7900 model because it had fewer HDMI ports and I thought that could potentially be a problem later.

hello here's my preliminary review: Some of the "fine print" features are slightly misleading, requires an internet access for the TV, and signing up for streaming service(s), ..that I didn't have. and some features are not available in the usa tv models (for recording tv shows) !?, They don't exactly spell that out upfront, you have to research all this. However overall, i like it enough to keep it. 🙂 * I have cataracts and needed a bigger screen, ...so I can read the words on the screen. 🥴
