Silky but sturdy!
I had been using a leather leash for my 70lb coonhound and it would burn my hand if he yanked on it--leather isn't very comfortable. It also held on to stains (pee!) and any moisture. But this one is so much easier--I can wash it, it's safe and comfortable in my hand and very sassy and jazzy. We love it!
