[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love, love, love this coffee maker. It is just the right size since I am the only coffee drinker in the house. The best benefit is the stainless steel carafe. Now that I am older I have shaky hands. With this carafe I don't have to worry about breakage or shattered glass. It also comes with a three-year warranty. What's not to like?

Everything and a Bit More

The 4-5 cup coffee maker has been the perfect size for me but my previous coffee maker, that I loved, had a detachable water tank and I refused to buy a replacement for it that had the coffee basket in the same area as the water is added-it's a messy setup. The ancient yet mint condition maker was made unusable when I broke the carafe in a move and the manufacturer only made a replacement that was just a hair too short to activate the full brew. They had also stopped making a small brewer with the separate water tank-for years! Kept watch for years more and couldn't find the setup I really wanted until this machine and I couldn't be more excited! This Cuisinart 5 cup (5 oz cups) coffee maker gives me one more ounce of coffee per pot than my old favorite maker, an unbreakable pot, a 30 minute warmer, a water tank I can take to the sink to fill and clean out when desired, and it also has a water filter. It is all I wanted and a bit more in a very small footprint!

Looks and works very well. The only problem I had was that trying to open some of the lids they were tight. This went away within a couple of uses. Also when it says "5 cups" in the description it does not mean American measuring cups, comes to just under 4 standard US cups. Other than that, great for a small size.
