Got a size 7/8 for my 6 year old since the smaller size was unavailable. I was thinking it might be a little too big but it fits her well. She will use it in her gymnastics class as her leotard is the high swimsuit cut type and this provides her legs more coverage. Material seems quite durable, though as my 6 year old is usually able to fit into a size small, I think these shorts must run a little on the small side.

Seems to run on the smaller side. Got a size 10 for my daughter to wear in the future with the matching leotard for gymnastics since it was a good reduced price. Was thinking I might have to hold on to them for another two or so years since she is 6, but they will probably fit her by next year as they seem to run on the smaller side. She really likes the pastel butterfly print, and seems to be made from a decent fabric - don't have to worry about them being too see through.
