Even though my kids are in elementary school, they have SO much stuff they have to keep in their backpacks throughout the day switching between rooms. The expandable feature is why I bought the bag. The large pockets for water bottles and the snap closure on the zippers are both major wins in my book. Time will tell how it holds up. I am hoping it is good for multiple years.

They are pricey, but good and sturdy. Last year I bought a different one and it ripped. It was the first time I've ever had one break. But I buy them every year from elementary to high school now. They are a big backpack that has extra space to expand if needed. The bottom is reinforced. The water bottle pocket on the side and it's bigger and insulated this year. Not a ton of pockets but enough and can handle a good amount of weight.
