These are nice socks, very well made, they don't make my feet hot. I got the grey, black, pink and purple pack, I'm a size 7 in shoes, got the 5-8, they fit just right. I like the grippers on the bottom, they're placed from the toe to heel, others I've bought doesn't cover the complete bottom of the sock. They have padding at the ankle in back, comes up higher to keep socks from slipping down at the heel. Nice to have the grippers, especially as you get older, I'm 70 yrs old, keeps me from slipping on the tile floors. I recommend these socks to anyone who needs extra protection from slipping on floors. I haven't washed them yet, just received yesterday, so can't say how they'll hold up. I always put my socks (and under clothes) in a zippered laundry bag when washing and drying so they'll last longer, or you can air dry them. I would say, if you're shoe size is larger than a 7 to7 1/2, I would go to the next size up. M (5-8) and L (8-10). They are made of cotton and spandex (polyester) I recommend these socks, I'm going to order another set. I have to really like some to order a second time.
