thin, soft, not as long as expected

i believe i have a standard size pillow and this pillow case suppose to be cotton. It wasn't as long in length wise as i expected. It is thin, soft, kind of silky feel to it and the color is fine. After using it once, i see that my pillow inside was showing out a few inches. Its not as long as my current pillow case which is cotton and is also thicker and longer to completely cover my pillow. I never experience my current pillow cover ever showing my pillow inside after i sleep on it. Also, the pillow case was kind of kept cool, but my current pillow case is cooler. If it was longer and thicker, i would have liked it better.
