Serta Big & Tall Office Chair, Bonded Leather, Black

It was a privilege to have the opportunity to try this Big and Tall Executive Chair with memory foam by Serta. I basically live in my desk chair at home. I use it for paying bills, working on the computer or watching a show or movie online. I have been wanting one of these big and tall chairs for some time since I am oversized and it’s difficult finding an office chair that will last awhile without breaking the bank. My current chair’s seat went flat in under two months. Since then I’ve been using pillows, folded up blankets, anything I can find to add padding so it’s not like sitting on a board. The first thing I noticed about this Serta chair was the thickness of the cushion. Between the memory foam and coils, you can feel the support. It doesn’t compress when I sit on it like other chairs have. Putting it together took me around a half hour on my own, but that was taking my time. I’m sure someone else could do it in about half that. Pieces all fit together easily and instructions were clear. Thank you to whoever thought to add a handle on the allen wrench that comes with this chair. You are a hero to all of us. The base and arms are a shiny silver metal that is very sturdy and I have no doubt can easily hold the 400 lbs. it states. The chair itself runs around 65 lbs. I was surprised the casters weren’t metal as well. If you are larger, sometimes desk chairs are not wide enough and you have to live with the arms biting into your hips and thighs. I did not find that a problem here. However, the seat was short on me at first. There is a lot of lower lumbar support. Too much for me and I couldn’t sit far enough back so I constantly felt like I was being tipped forward. This is getting better the more I use it as the back and seat are softening and conforming a bit more to my body. Time will tell regarding durability, but it’s already clear to me this chair is far better than any I’ve had before and for not much difference in price.

I absolutely love this chair! It is by far the most comfortable office chair I have ever sat in! I love the fact it’s leather! It’s super cool (temperature wise too) but does not have me sticking to it which living in the south is an awesome thing. It has amazing cushions to make sure you’re comfortable on both top and the armrests! It’s incredibly easy to adjust the height and the recline— with just the flip of a lever! When you do adjust the height up or down it doesn’t snap up quickly it does it gradually. It was super easy to put together just a Phillips screwdriver! It also looks very professional!
