I'm a long time PC player, I had a Nintendo switch and I was considering getting the Nintendo switch 2, after research I decided on the steam deck. it was about market price here with a couple extras, I separately ordered a dock, joy stick, and a keyboard and mouse. about an extra $60. My main usage is having it hooked up to my TV, and playing games in my library The biggest AAA titles I've played so far are Red Dead redemption 2, and fall out for. they all play pretty well, I'm playing on a 32-in LCD TV. My main purpose wasn't handheld mode but in a brief time I've used it for that it seems pretty good. I can't comment on battery life because it's plugged into the dock. I told most of my games down to medium, and with these settings I've gotten great performance.
