This HP Omnibook 5, 16 inch 2k display, Windows 11 Laptop with the AMD Ryzen 7 AI 350 APU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB Solid State Drive meets and exceeds my expectations! Further Review: When purchasing a PC, new or refurbished, you have to keep in mind the current market when coming to value. As for this review, we are in a time where RAM, either DDR4 or DDR5 RAM is extremely costly with all the major AI companies buying them up for their servers. I do not expect this trend to stop anytime soon as we are in an AI boom. This machine has 16GB of DDR5 RAM. That is pretty sweet in my opinion. The average price for a new 512GB SSD is averaging about $80 - $110 for laptops. So we will keep that in mind. With a crisp 2k resolution, the 16” display is above average with size and visual quality. The AMD Ryzen 7 AI 350 represents strong value for productivity, offering 8 Zen 5/5c cores and a 50 TOPS NPU. This is why this is important. Estimates indicate that the Windows 12 Operating System will launch as early as Quarter 4 of 2026. The System Requirements have not been released as of yet, but the rumors are that you will need a dedicated NPU with a minimal requirement of 40 Trillion Operations Per/Seconds. You will also need to have Deep CoPilot Integration, a minimum of 16GB RAM and at least 128GB of Storage. With that being said, this HP Omnibook 5 appears to be future-proofed for Microsoft’s newest OS. Conclusion: Reflecting on what we know with the hardware specs, this machine's specs surpass today's price point in regards to value. This brand NEW HP LAPTOP should be a 5 star product all day. Notes: When unboxing and running the initial setup of Window’s, make sure to install ALL your System Updates from the settings menu.
