stickers left marks on wood

The circle numbers on the boards you peel off after assembly left a black circle mark on the wood. If you try and wipe it off, the paint comes off the wood. So it ruins a very pretty bookcase because of it. Had to return. Was very disappointed because they were so cute and we really wanted them.
