Unique to this wall plate is a removable cable plate hood which may be installed on the outside of the wall to provide maximum cable protection and to keep debris from falling into the wall. Alternatively for flat panel TV installations, where space between the wall and the TV is at a minimum, the cable hood may be mounted inside of the wall for use as a flush cable port that creates a custom hidden in-wall cable management system.
