I'm elated Walmart stocks name brand pc components and upgrades. What drew me to purchasing from Walmart was the holiday pricing which beat my normally favorite online pc parts vendor. WesternDigital rocks, and free Acronis backup.(sw)

When buying drives it is good to ensure you are choosing the drive that will work with your system (computer). WesternDigital is my favorite drive company for about 25yr or so. So I am biased. Truth is this thing worked right away with Win11. WesternDigital provide free Acronis backup (download from WesternDigital) Acronis can do many things supporting hard drives, backups, disk management. Works great!

Very good value

Just a quick note, this a Gen4 SSD, not Gen5 as it is written in the description. Other than that, this was a very good deal on a very reputable SSD brand. If you compare the read/write speeds with other similar brands, you'll find the WD brand is the best value. Also of note, this SSD does not seem to heat up as much as my previous SSD's of similar speed. So far, I haven't seen the need to install a heatsink with this one, but I will continue monitoring the temps in the future. Would definitely recommend this SSD for your next upgrade.
