I have bought 2 Digital Weight Scales through the OTC program of my health insurance. They are never accurate and you can not calibrate them to be accurate and they need BATTERIES! If the batteries start to weaken, the scale is off. I prefer the 'old fashioned' spring scales. You can have them for YEARS and they are always accurate. Some things can not be improved upon. I had a spring scale when I bought the first Digital one and gave it away. I regret it now, but I have a nice new one. I'm happy and trust that it is accurate!

I got tired of digital scales reading 3 different readings during the same time period. I got tired of dead batteries so I went old school and I have no regrets. The only thing that I dislike about this scale is the markers go in increments of 2lbs. I wish they were in 1 lb but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. It is sturdy and consistent on readings.
