I did not need a mat that was covering the whole tub. I have MS and I needed a mat that would covering under the shower itself so I can stand up under the shower without slipping. This is excellent. Very soft and does not feel like you are stepping on suction cups like some tub and shower mats. Stays put in tub and easy to remove and lift up to rinse off. The last mat I had I had to almost pull it up with both arms (have bad shoulders). The softness under your feet makes it feel so comfortable.
