I love these Lodge cast iron skillets!! I thought the 12" might be too large, so I ordered the 10'" and 8"!! I'm 62 and my wife passed early this year. I'm disabled and I'm in wheelchair that puts my face at stovetop level. I needed heavier cookware on the stove. The Lodge brand has answered the call on every level!! I can't tell how pleased I am. Thick and cooks evenly I use only cast iron to cook and have two other thinner pans that don't heat as evenly this pan is worth way more than it is being sold for even though it is more than some of the import brands. And it is actually made in Tennessee spend the extra and enjoy the quality.

best option for cooking large meals on non toxic metals, in case those reading do not know, rinse and scrape it with warm or hot water, and a mild brush, no soap, after cooking, then wipe dry. afterwards, make sure to put on some heat to remove excess water for pores then wipe down with cooking oil
