I found it easy to put together alone. Its an acceptable quality for the price, but we will see how well it holds up. Our 13 year old cat weighs like 15lbs, and he fits ok on the bed on top and in the cubby. Time will tell if he fits in the hammock, or if hes even interested in it. Immediately after assembling it Phoebe, are 5 month old tabby climbed onto it. Initially she liked the top bed perch but once she figured out what the hanging basket was for she hasn't moved since and that was hours ago,lol. Assembly was pretty straightforward and it seems relatively sturdy, a cat definitely won't do any damage to it. Size wise it's OK, Phoebe is about 6lbs for reference and it's perfect for her and probably will be as long as she stays under 8-9lbs.
