I got this so my daughter could practice writing her letters, name, and numbers. It's made a huge difference. She has low tone, fine and gross motor delays, which impact the pressure she uses when she applies writing utensils, how she holds the utensil, the sizing of the letter/number, the confidence (how straight the lines are). This is perfect for that! Markers will slide if she pushes down too hard, they're a bit bigger than pencils, so she's forced to adjust her grip (she can't fist them), and she has to write smaller to fit multiple letters/numbers in a row. She accidentally writes straight lines bc markers write smoothly on whiteboard, which increases her confidence, which makes her write more boldly (with less thought), which causes less hesitation and more smooth lines. It's an automatic positive reinforcement there! So if your child has any of these writing issues, I recommend this board for writing improvement. Writing issues can be due to any small issue from sensory (feel of paper, pencil material, paper writing on pencil) to motor, to muscle tone, and this can address them. Removing the small barriers can make the transition to copy paper easier, and then to unbleached/pulpier paper like the lined wide/college ruled stuff. We use this to make to do lists to prepare for Shabbat, when we have 24 hours of no work. We use it for reminders of what we need to buy and want to buy, what we need to do and want to do, math games, random little doodles. It hangs well on the fridge and also on our apartment door. I got a pack of 10 markers to go with it to make writing more fun. This was a great purchase.

It was exactly what I wanted. Big enough to keep notes and list. Is magnetized to keep on the side of refrigerator. The dry earaser board even has a clip that keeps the pen/eraser cap attached to the board! Awesome!
