Check for broken product before confirming pickup

I was given a broken item for customer pick up. The foot pedal that lifts the lid is snapped off and was placed inside like it was a detachable piece and it doesn't reattach. I tried to call the store and no answer twice from order pickup line or from store operator line. I would have thought the staff would look at the item before saying it's ready for pick up.

SUCKS

It's not the trash can, it's Walmart that's the problem! It came broke and Walmart can get me a new one, till I get it to the store.. I have no vehicle and are disabled. It was delivered from the Walmart Supercenter %235497 25737 Us Route 11, Evans Mills, NY 13637... If I could get to the store I wouldn't have it delivered..
